Samuel V. Johnson

I grew up in Chisago City, Minnesota, and graduated from Chisago Lakes High School. I later moved to Duluth, where I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth while working as a server and bartender. After that, I relocated to Lowertown–St. Paul to attend William Mitchell College of Law. I now live in St. Paul and share a law office with my brother, Jesse Johnson, serving clients throughout Chisago, Pine, Isanti, Kanabec, Anoka, Washington counties, and most anywhere in the state.

My practice focuses primarily on Family Law, with a particular emphasis on dissolution and divorce. I also regularly handle adoptions, custody matters, guardianship matters, evictions, wills and trusts, civil commitments, and child protection cases. I’m committed to providing straightforward, effective advocacy and helping clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity and confidence.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Alyssa, and our two English bulldogs, Kevin and Louis. My hobbies include traveling, muskie fishing, being outdoors, snowboarding, and following Twins baseball and Timberwolves basketball.
